Postdoctoral researcher in metabolism

We are a young, international research team that studies metabolism in the context of healthy and tumor tissue, using genetic mouse models, metabolic approaches and omics technologies. Previously we discovered that quiescent endothelial cells re-wire metabolism to maintain stress resistance and found a major role for oxidative phosphorylation and autophagy in this process (Magalhaes-Novais et al, Autophagy, 2022). Now we plan to build on these findings and map the metabolism of quiescent endothelium in more detail, to identify molecular mechanisms of metabolic stress resistance with relevance to disease.

Post-doctoral candidate in leukemia research

CLIP Laboratories are integral part of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. It is the largest pediatric oncology center in the Czech Republic with about 250 newly diagnosed patients per year. CLIP Laboratories are responsible for diagnostics and monitoring of disease progression and treatment efficacy of hematological malignancies. Besides diagnostics, CLIP conducts also internationally recognised research in the field of haematological diseases.

Ph.D. in SARS-CoV-2 research and protein engineering

Laboratory of Protein engineering is looking for talented PhD students to join our team and helping us to address the appealing question: What variant of SARS-CoV-2 will emerge next? This project sprouts on our previous successful applications of protein engineering in SARS-CoV-2 research (1, 2) and extends it for further exploration of protein interaction plasticity. The research will combine aspect of protein engineering, immunology, virology and bioinformatics.
