Vědecké a studijní pozice

Postdoctoral position in Laboratory of Reproductive Biology

The Postdoctoral Fellow will mainly be responsible for a project which targets to study and compare various modes of “asexuality”, including the underexplored sex chromosomal situation in parental bisexual species and hybrid “asexuals”, the alteration of gametogenesis and fertilization in four independently evolved “asexual” complexes of fishes and amphibians. The outcome of the research will deliver insights into the onset of “asexuality” in different vertebrates by hybridization (including the parental sex determination systems) and reveal the underlying processes of partial genome elimination, occurring either after fertilization or during gametogenesis as well as ameiotic and premeiotic genome endoreplication leading to clonality.

Post-doctoral candidate in leukemia research

CLIP Laboratories are integral part of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. It is the largest pediatric oncology center in the Czech Republic with about 250 newly diagnosed patients per year. CLIP Laboratories are responsible for diagnostics and monitoring of disease progression and treatment efficacy of hematological malignancies. Besides diagnostics, CLIP conducts also internationally recognised research in the field of haematological diseases.

Ph.D. in SARS-CoV-2 research and protein engineering

Laboratory of Protein engineering is looking for talented PhD students to join our team and helping us to address the appealing question: What variant of SARS-CoV-2 will emerge next? This project sprouts on our previous successful applications of protein engineering in SARS-CoV-2 research (1, 2) and extends it for further exploration of protein interaction plasticity. The research will combine aspect of protein engineering, immunology, virology and bioinformatics.
