Students of the high school in Klatovy visited BIOCEV

On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, a group of thirty students from the Jaroslav Vrchlický High School in Klatovy (Gymnázium Jaroslava Vrchlického v Klatovech) visited the BIOCEV center. In their lessons, third-year students focus on the basics of microbiology, carnivorous, poisonous and medicinal groups of plants, animals and their environment, and various human diseases. Most of the students are preparing for doctoral studies focusing on biology or chemistry.

After the initial presentation of the BIOCEV center and the contents of the five research programs, RNDr. Martina Saláková, Ph.D., M.Sc. Jan Procházka, Ph.D. and M.Sc. Josef Škoda, Ph.D. This was followed by excursions to scientific workplaces where the students might one day work. On the way back, everyone agreed that the visit to BIOCEV was very interesting and useful.
