A new substance called MitoTam successfully disrupts breast cancer cells

The fear of breast cancer is well justified – one out of eight women will encounter this pathology during their lives. This is why any new effective treatment is welcome. Never have Czech scientists been as close to this as they are now. They have developed a substance MitoTam that forces cancer cells into demise in triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer.

In the Czech Republic, triple-negative breast cancer is diagnosed in up to 20 percent of all breast cancer patients. A new compound with anti-cancer activity called MitoTam has been successfully tested in laboratories in the Czech Republic and in Australia and has undergone independent pre-clinical trials in a specialized lab. But now it has started to be tested on patients.
