About us

We offer complex proteome analysis and quantification on the latest generation of Mass spectrometry equipment–Thermo Orbitrap Fusion. We are able to quantify your sample on the whole proteome level using an untargeted approach or just a selected protein with a targeted analysis. The most common applications are: quantitative analysis of whole proteomes comparing, for example, treated and control samples, analysis of immunoprecipitated proteins and targeted quantification of selected peptides.

Our Services:

  • Preparation of samples for analysis (we are able to prepare a sample for analysis from your tissue or cell line)
  • Proteomic analysis of your samples – identification and quantification of proteins (aproximately 4500 quantified proteins from the human cell line in a single injection)
  • Data analysis and basic statistical evaluation
  • Consultation about experimental designs and how to obtain the maximum amount of informationfrom your experiment

We are able to quantify your sample using different approaches – label free quantification, SILAC, isobaric tag quantification (iTRAQ), dimethyl labelling etc. We can also offer detection and quantification of various posttranslational modifications (PTMs), such as phosphorylation, acetylation or other PTMs. In addition to basic data analysis which is free for each sample, we can  perform more complex bioinformatic and statistical analysis or train your staff how to use proteomics software and how to interpret proteomic data.

We will be your partner in your research efforts. Each analysis is consulted individually beforehand to perfectly meet your demands. All our services are available for everybody from the academic and non academic areas. We work in pay per analysis mode and we don’t demand co-authorship on your publications. In case of stable and long-term cooperation You can obtain an individualized price quote.

Untargeted metabolomics performed by HPLC-MS/MS and GCxGC-MS methods

We offer untargeted analyses of metabolites in various biological matrices and basic statistical evaluation of the data.

Our newest service is isotope tracing of non-radioactive isotopes (Figure 1).

Untargeted metabolomics is a new direction for the analysis of small molecules in biological samples. Its goal is to cover the widest possible spectrum of metabolites present in the sample, their identification, and quantification. The development of this approach was made possible by the recent advances in instrumentation and computing. Our laboratory equipment enables non-targeted analyses by liquid and gas chromatography.

HPLC-MS/MS (Figure 2): Analyzes are performed on Thermo Scientific equipment on an Ultimate 3000 liquid chromatograph coupled to an Orbitrap Fusion mass detector. The measured data is evaluated by the Compound Discoverer software, also from Therma.

GCxGC-MS (Figure 3): Analyzes are performed on a two-dimensional comprehensive chromatograph connected to a Pegasus 4D mass detector. We evaluate the data in ChromaTOF v4.5 software from the same company.

The liquid chromatography method covers non-volatile substances, generally polar, soluble in water, and polar organic solvents (methanol, acetonitrile...). The gas chromatography method is more suitable for analyzing stable volatile non-polar substances up to a weight of approx. 1000Da. The range of measured substances can be increased for both methods, for example, by chemical modifications (derivatization) of the analyzed molecules, which adjust their polarity and volatility (for GC) and/or stability (for LC). We choose a suitable technique or a combination of several techniques based on prior consultation with the customer.

The untargeted analysis results in a list of substances found in the samples, a proposal of probable structures, and an indication of the quantity of individual compounds. We also provide a basic statistical evaluation focusing on looking for differences between the tested sample groups (Figure 4).

Orbitrap Ascend

Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Ascend Tribrid mass spectrometer, offering new capabilities for multiplexed proteomics and native protein characterization. The mass spectrometer enables improved sample throughput, versatility and ease-of-use — producing high quality data with simplicity. More samples can be analyzed at lower concentrations, enabling faster, more sensitive analysis, and macromolecule experiments, that were not possible before, can now be achieved. The new Auto-Ready ion source for calibration maximizes convenience, allowing the user to spend more time on the results, and less time on instrument set-up.
