
Programmer for frontend development
We are looking for a programmer to join our teams focused on management of biophysical data within the European project MOSBRI and further development of structural bioinformatics tools and services provided within the DATabase of MOlecular Structures (https://datmos.org) project supported by the European research infrastructure ELIXIR.
Join our team working for the future of FAIR sharing of scientific data. We offer a dynamic environment connected to development of data management infrastructure for biophysical data in the frame of an international project at our Institute. The main responsibility lies in continuing the design and maintenance of the user interface of a pilot database of biophysical data. The person is expected to actively participate in multilateral international negotiations and to implement the front end of the database.
You would be working within the Laboratory of Structural Bioinformatics of Proteins and collaborate with the Centre of Molecular Structure (https://www.ibt.cas.cz/en/core-facilities/centre-of-molecular-structure, part of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology, https://www.ciisb.org/ and of the European infrastructure Instruct-ERIC, https://instruct-eric.eu/) that participates in the EU Horizon 2020 project MOSBRI (https://www.mosbri.eu/) focused on provision of open access to biophysical techniques across Europe with a strong accent on definition of data standards and archival of biophysical data.
Requirements
- Proven experience with current web frameworks, JavaScript, React, CSS, Python, Jinja
- Teamplayer; documented previous experience in programming projects
- Version control using git and GitHub
- Written and spoken English at intermediate level
Useful to have:
- University education in technical or natural sciences
- Basic understanding of Flask applications, development using Docker, or experience with C++ programming
