The Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) invites applications for the following open position

The Production Unit of the Transgenic and Archiving Module of the CCP (http://www.phenogenomics.cz/) is currently seeking a motivated technician to join our international team. Your key responsibilities will be the production of genetically modified mouse and rat models by different techniques (microinjection, electroporation) and the cryopreservation of rodent germ cells, as well as general laboratory work incl. media preparation, cell culture and documentation of the work. Mouse and rat handling is one main part of the engagement. Administrative assistance for purchase orders and for the Archiving Module (import and distribution) is an additional part.

You should possess a bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biotechnology or related subject. Experience in laboratory work and rodent handling as well as knowledge in rodent genetics and transgenic technologies would be advantageous. Candidates must be fluent in English, have good interpersonal communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. If you are an organized person, have a keen perception and like to learn new techniques in the field of rodent transgenesis, you are welcome to apply for this job.
