The program of BIOCEV builds upon three pillars of the knowledge triangle. The research program, which provides scientific outputs of highest quality, stands above all. It stems from the intellectual potential and originality of the strictly selected research teams as well as the establishment of the state-of-the-art core facilities.
Creation of a knowledge transfer platform represents the second pillar of BIOCEV. This aspect of the center is mediated by the unique combination of basic research and biotechnology-oriented teams and also by establishment of a fully dedicated Knowledgeand Transfer department within BIOCEV, as well as by direct cooperation with biotech companies.
The third pillar is education and training of graduate but also undergraduate students, which will be achieved within current educational programs of Charles University and by newly accredited programs in Biotechnology and Biomedicine. In addition, educational programs of BIOCEV will organize and facilitate focused research courses for Czech and international students and young researches mainly in the areas with strong scientific and technological orientation and it will also provide high-quality multi-level training for private professionals.
