Centre Description
The Centre of Imaging Methods is planned to serve as a national imaging facility, but its activities will be truly international. While the basic imaging methods will serve mostly the needs of BIOCEV researchers, the national importance will be connected with the recent techniques that reach the current technical limits for imaging molecules, cells and tissues. All the techniques of electron microscopy, light microscopy, and cytometry will form one unit optimally employing the unified technology and logistic environment. We plan to join the emerging pan-European consortium EuroBioImaging which will coordinate and organize various teaching activities on imaging and European access to the top imaging technology.
