The Research centre BIOCEV (core facility Imaging methods) has been participating as an associated partner in another European consortium – Euro-BioImaging. Euro-BioImaging is oriented to the research in the field of high-resolution imaging of biological specimens and to the analysis of their structure, again particularly in the area of biomedicine and biotechnologies. Project is included in the ESFRI Roadmap.
The aim of the project is to provide scientists in Europe with open access to state-of-the-art technologies at all levels of biological and biomedicine research. The project preparatory phase started on 10 December 2010. During the preparatory phase 2010 – 2013 Euro-BioImaging will develop a construction and operation plan of a future large research infrastructure of closely interconnected imaging facilities in Europe.
